SMNW LADY COUGAR BASKETBALL

The Lady Cougars hosted the 2nd of two tournaments this summer and have had a fantastic experience! Not only did the Lady Cougars have fun working concessions and team building but they also excelled on the court!!

The JV Orange Squad continued their outstanding summer, going 5-0 on their way to another tournament championship!!

JV Orange: Back Row: Sydney Thompson, Olivia Sanders, Mariah Smith, Amanda Hoelting,McKayla Ross, Mia Woodward, Emily Petersen and Tracy Monahan.

Front Row: Sondra Ibarra, Arielle Jackson, Mikala Modiri, Meghan McCluskey and Brooklyn Wagler.

In the Varsity Division, the Lady Cougar swept through the competition going 4-0 in pool play and defeating SM North to get the championship game vs the Missouri Hydra squad who was also undefeated. The Hydra jumped out to a big lead before a furious come back by SMNW cut the lead to 5 with less than a minute left, but the Missouri Team held on to win the championship.

The JV Black squad also competed in this tournament and played 6 very hard fought and competitive games!
